[MonetDB-users] MonetDB shows error after graceful stop

Hi, I am using the following commands to START and STOP the MonetDB database. monetdb --start --dbname=test --dbinit='include sql;' monetbd --stop After I STOP the monetdb server I am getting the following messages in my console. Sometimes these messages repeat few times. ========================================================= /root/MonetDB070524/bin/mguardian: line 131: [: /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 43: integer expression expected /root/MonetDB070524/bin/mguardian: line 195: mserver5: command not found ========================================================== What are these messages? Do they represent an error in my set up? Or is this a some bug in MonetDB? Please look into it. Thanks, - Venks

[MonetDB-users] monetdb-install.sh not working

Folks, I tried to executed the all-in-one script "monetdb-install.sh" and it's not working. I installed it last week few times without any error. Please look into this issue. Venks, That is a good question and I didn't send the resolution to the general list. The strange behavior was that local connections were ok and remote connections would block all subsequent connections (local or remote) until I killed the remote MapiClient. I think there is something wrong with the "release" version when compiled from the script. After I used --nightly=stable or --nightly=current I was able to connect. I had mapi_open=true with all three versions. [MonetDB-users] copy into with primary key errors

I've been trying to bulk load a large set of data into a table with a compound primary key. Every time the copy into fails on the second file with an error about an "invalid input type". Even if I comment out the suspect file, the third file with have the same error. If I repeat the load and comment out the first file, then the third file will have the "invalid input type" error. Has anyone been able to use COPY INTO with a compound primary key and multiple files?
