Hello, can I use Monetdb-XQuery with Python? Is there a special library needed or is the standard Mapi Python client compatible with MonetDB XQuery? (Any code samples?)

I'm trying to insert floats into a MonetDB 5.0.0_beta1 db in table like this: create table P ( time timestamp not null, x numeric(5,2) not null, y numeric(5,2) not null ); using code like this: PreparedStatement ps = con.prepareStatement("insert into P (time,x,y) values (?,?,?)"); ps.setTimestamp(1, new Timestamp(time.getTime())); ps.setFloat(2, x); ps.setFloat(3, y); and get an error like this: java.sql.SQLException: MALException:(unknown):wrong argument for prepared statement (expected decimal instead of decimal) Is this a bug? [MonetDB-users] Problem using monetdb

Hi, I'm new with MonetDB. I'm trying to use it but it seems that not store tuples that I insert. I'm using MonetDB5 and jdbc driver to connect to it. I'm using PreparedStatement to insert data in the demo database and table mytable whit connection with autoCommit true. It seems all ok while I'm inserting tuples but, when I try to select count(*) from mytable, from the client I see : % sys. # table_name % count_ # name % int # type % 1 # length [ 0 ] Which is the problem? Can anyone help me? tnx Raffaele
