The problem is that intermediate results are kept around in memory longer than needed. The fix is to release the memory as soon as it's not needed anymore which means that the server doesn't grow as much anymore. The memory didn't leak in the sense that at the end of the query it was all released, but that's too late.

This may well be the result of a bug that slipped through into the release. We will be releasing a bug fix release soon that should have this bug fixed.
