Please report, whether this works for you, or not.
If you still experiece problems, please report the version of Debian you are using, and attach the complete logs and console output of your monetdb-install.sh run.
In particular we would like the "log" file which the scripts reports at the end of the failure.
Alternatively, I'd like to know what version of libtool you have installed.
