No.

daemon mode in MonetDB means it only doesn't read from stdin.  Hence you
should see no prompt, and it should not respond to any commands you give
it.  (ctrl-c of course works, because that's a signal, and handled
differently)  If you want to make MonetDB a bit more quiet, then set
monet_welcome (or something similar) to "no".
