Dump+restore is the recommended way of transfering data/tables between machines.

In case you are dealing with binary compatible machines (and likewise MonetDB installations), you could transfer a complete database by copying the complete <dbname> folder from one machines dbfarm to the other machines dbfarm --- of course, both MonetDB servers need to be stopped and their logs flushed before copying the data.

please include you log directories too.
