Hi,
I have a question about MonetDB clustered 1- It only replicates data between nodes? 2- He replicates data between nodes doing sharding? 3- When a query is sent to the cluster, it is processed by one node just or distributed by several nodes? 4- Cluster is related to multiplex-funnel?
Att,
Hi,
I offer mi answers
1- It only replicates data between nodes? Yes, I understand thats the way of replication, although you can take a workaround using multiplex funnels
2- He replicates data between nodes doing sharding? Sharding is a partitioning method, not a replication one. I am not sure MonetDB uses automation partitioning, I say not yet.
3- When a query is sent to the cluster, it is processed by one node just or distributed by several nodes? Depends of the conection,
- When you conect using a multiplex funnel, the querie is multiplexed to all nodes included in the funnel
- When your connection include several DB, the client makes round robin on each request to server, and thats a way of partitioning
4- Cluster is related to multiplex-funnel? Is very related, is a way for replication, and query join
