It seems there are extra spaces after the '1'. The copy into expects
no additional characters, ie just the double value. The string
conversion does handle this (ie thats why the load via VARCHAR works).

Is this data formatted such that each values has extra spaces, then
the 'delimiters' could be ajusted to include these extra spaces.
