The problem Im facing is the following. Im starting the database with version Dec2016-SP5 (11.25.23),. BUT when Im starting it I found the following message on the log

2018-12-18 19:26:59 ERR cli_lt[3681]: # fixing string offset heaps

The DB starts very quickly, but when I try to connect to the database via mclient I receive the error:

2018-12-18 19:30:12 MSG merovingian[3622]: proxying client (local) for database 'cli_lt' to mapi:monetdb:///opt/cli_lt/cli_lt/.mapi.sock?database=cli_lt

2018-12-18 19:30:12 MSG merovingian[3622]: starting a proxy failed: cannot connect: Connection refused

2018-12-18 19:30:12 ERR control[3622]: !monetdbd: an internal error has occurred 'cannot connect: Connection refused'

And Im not able to access it.

For that reason, I installed a new fresh monetdb version Aug2018-SP1 (11.31.11) and try to open the same database with the error I mentioned first.

So now, Im not able to access the DB...

Do you have an idea what can I do?

The 'wrd' type was removed in the Dec2016 release.  In that release and
in the Jul2017 releases there was upgrade code to convert a database
that had the 'wrd' type.  This code was no longer available in the
Mar2018 release.

What you might be able to do is install a Dec2016 or Jul2017 version
(11.25.X or 11.27.X) and update the database.  Then install the Aug2018
version (11.31.X) and update again.  Maybe going through all releases
Dec2016-SP5 (11.25.23), then Jul2017-SP4 (11.27.13), then Mar2018-SP1
(11.29.7), and finally Aug2018-SP1 (11.31.11) is even better.
